Detroit Bankruptcy: One Year Later
The series “Detroit Bankruptcy: One Year Later” is presented by WDET with the partners of the Detroit Journalism Cooperative (DJC) to help audiences understand the continuing and future impacts of the city’s bankruptcy and recovery on residents, neighborhoods, city government and policymakers.
The DJC journalists work across platforms — print, radio, television, digital — to best explain the case and what it means to the city and the region. Their work will be showcased as part of the free, community event “Detroit Bankruptcy: One Year Later” on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Wayne State University’s Community Arts Auditorium.
Funding for this project is made possible by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Renaissance Journalism’s Michigan Reporting Initiative and the Ford Foundation.
